The Inside

Deuteronomy 22:5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.

Okay, first of all, what qualifies a person to be a man or a woman? Let's dig a little deeper.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Okay, this verse says that you are male or female. Again, what qualifies a person to be male or female? Do they have to have a body that shows that they are a man or a woman? Not exactly. Here's your answer:

Psalms 51:6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

Jeremiah 17:10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

God cares more about the inside than he does the outside. He is concerned with the condition of our hearts. Now, what does this have to do with transsexuality? Let me explain. You may look like a male on the outside, but inside, you might be female. In this case, the inside would have dominion. This is what a true transsexual is. Their inside is non-congruent with their outside. This is what I believe that gender dysphoria really is. It is the dissatisfaction with the gender on the outside, and there is a need to make the outside congruent with the inside. Society's responsibility is not to decide who is a female or a male. It is a heart condition. If the inside is not congruent with the outside, that person will have trouble for the rest of their lives. That is why I believe that hormone therapy and transgender surgery are necessary. A person must be who he or she is on the inside and the outside. When this happens, in most cases, the person will experience satisfaction, and that is a good thing.
